YEAR 1996: In 1981, James Potter ended up dying and bought enough time for Lily Potter to escape with her son. So, in the end, Voldemort went after the Longbottoms, planning to catch up later. Given they were purebloods, even if blood traitors, he gave them a chance to stand aside. Only Neville Longbottom came out of it alive and was went to an orphanage, no knowledge of his magical powers. Now Neville is entering his 6th year, and who knows what kind of trouble he's going to get in...
